Command Me
Lyrics & Music: James Burrell

Command me, Command me, make me feel the way you do,
Unleash me, Take these chains off and I'll give myself to you.
It's easy, It's easy to run and hide from what you really feel,
I'll follow, I will follow but what I'm giving isn't real.

Saw you in a candle room,
    Somewhere  out the stars.
    Took you under my wing,
And told you, what it is you would be.

Stay silent, I'll be silent but my cries will cross the age,
It's better, It's better to hide than live out on the stage.
Do you hear me, Hearing you has only helped me find my way,
It's order, Order is just a style and free is what I crave.

Saw you in a candle room,
    Somewhere  out the stars.
    Took you under my wing,
And told you, what it is you would be.

Where are you, Tonight....

Passion Lingers
Lyrics: Brenda MacDonald & James Burrell
Music: James Burrell & Ken Cree

The feeling of ecstasy,
That earns within my soul.
The enticing entity,
A fear of the unknown.

The element of surprise,
So supple to the touch.
The sheer pleasure in one's eyes,
To want someone so much.

    Like fire blazing,
    With all it's thrashing fingers,
    The bitter yet sweet sting,
    Passion lingers...

Deliriously we pursue,
For there of.
Can easily be mistaken,
In lust or love.

So foolish are it's seekers,
But not without some doubt.
And still we keep on searching,
To grasp the gist of what passions all about.

    Like fire blazing,
    With all it's thrashing fingers,
    The bitter yet sweet sting,
    Passion lingers...

Envious of the mood,
Felt in lovers breathing.
It's never been so cruel,
Desire receding.

It's been this way forever,
But not without some doubt.
There's nothing like the center,
Turning you, turning inside out.

    Like fire blazing,
    With all it's thrashing fingers,
    The bitter yet sweet sting,
    Passion lingers...

It's Far Too Late
Lyrics & Music: Ken Cree

Painters and Portraits
Lyrics & Music: James Burrell

Painters and portraits,
And skylines drawing closer.
Real time and quality,
Control of your imagery.

Oasis in deep space,
Where echoes drown out the silence.
Confusing the issues,
The depths of your attitudes.

Painters and portraits,
An old man and telephones.
Rural daze and suburb facts,
Colliding and understanding.

So far and so near,
It's impossible to judge the timeline.
Patience for love dear,
And speaking of your artistry.

     The painters add the colours,
     To change their minds.
     The portraits are the models,
     In a different time.
Canvas is a picture with the world ripped off.
It's crazy for me to love you.

Painters and portraits,
Carry memories to criticize.
The anger of nothing,
And concrete to fill in the spaces.

Called self expression,
Self depreciation.
Death holds its rewards,
And cowardess reveals its charms.

     The painters add the colours,
     To change their minds.
     The portraits are the models,
     In a different time.
Canvas is a picture with the world ripped off.
It's crazy for me to love you.

The painters and the portraits...
Canvas is a picture with the world ripped off.
It's crazy for me to love you.

Psychos
Lyrics: Brenda MacDonald
Music: James Burrell

It seems lately... my eyes beg for psychos,
And that's right babe... I was talking to you.
Cause what I look for... I most certainly find,
And if I knew that Baby... well I'd choose to be blind.

Well you can need me, read me, use that line.
And you can feed me, breed me, but don't f**k with my mind.

     Cause I'm aware,
     In my opinion,
     You should seek someone,
     For professional help!

Don't be alarmed... you're not the only one,
To have this syndrome... I'm sorry I gotta' run.

Well you can need me, read me, waste my time.
But when  you bleed me, breed me, don't f**k with my mind.

     Ya...

The Illusion of Flight
Lyrics and Music: Ken Cree

I have dreamed that I have clutched at the sky,
And pulled myself in to the clear blue heights.
I have drifted on the winds of a thousand worlds,
And felt the heartbeat of the stormy nights.

Led by hand to join the breeze of the lowlands,
And dragged by gales in to the stratosphere.
Search in vain to find the soul of the sky,
Lost on winds of change.

     It changes your perspective,
When you see things from a different height.
     Impressions you are under,
     Like imaginings of second sight.
     The sky suspended in,
     The illusion of flight.

To break the chains and never touch ground again,
Diffuse the senses 'til they're one with thin air.
Clouds like memories, the dream has begun,
Some higher feeling, that the earthbound can't share.
Last links are broken now there'll be no returning,
To old dreamings of the heartland home.
To bid the sky, bid the green earth goodbye,
Search for heaven, searching all alone.

     This changes your perspective,
When you see things from a different height.
     Impressions you are under,
     Like imaginings of second sight.
     The sky suspended in,
     The illusion of flight.

Ah...

Lost In A Wonderland
Lyrics: James Burrell
Music: Ken Cree

Just a dream that,
Never worked out right.
When it came to be,
You know I couldn't sleep at night.
The situation rose,
I thought it all worked out.
but back at the start,
And now it seems that I'm...

     Lost in a wonderland,
     And I don't even understand.
How I got lost in this wonderland...

The rabbit showed up late,
He always was on time.
Seeing all the strange things there,
You know it nearly blew my mind.
Alison Wonderland,
She was a site to see.
She took me by the hand,
Led me down now I'm...

     Lost in a wonderland,
     And I don't even understand.
How I got lost in this wonderland...

Towering lines not really real,
Castles and kings nothing to fear.
Smiles and phantoms and their ghosts in the past,
Rising and falling don't seem to last when you're...

     Lost in a wonderland,
     And I don't even understand.
How I got lost in this wonderland...

The Queen of Hearts did ask me,
If I wanted to dance.
I didn't truly know,
If I should take that chance.
Let me tell you now,
Now that I know the truth.
Take that chance my friend,
And hope that you get...

     Lost in a wonderland,
     And I don't even understand.
How I got lost in this wonderland...

Drugbust At The Circus
Lyrics & Music: Ken Cree

They bought if off some bimbo,
Official sources said.
His face was white, his hair was green,
His nose was big and red.

He hung 'round with this midget,
Who smoked a big cigar.
The deal went down,
The took off in the midgets' little car.

     All the acrobats are flying,
     And no safety nets required.
There's a drugbust at the circus,
     Everybody's high and wired.

The tracked 'em to the big top,
The trail went underground.
A bunch of clowns said nothing,
Ring Master can't be found.

They shaved the bearded lady,
Some sources can't be named.
The animals are restless,
Some lions can't be tamed.

     All the acrobats are flying,
     And no safety nets required.
There's a drugbust at the circus,
     Everybody's high and wired.

They fed some fool a line it seems,
The fat boy dropped a tip.
They twisted someone's arm,
And then the juggler lost his grip.

The crowd hushed into silence,
As they nailed some other clown,
The fortune teller told it all,
The dog-faced boy skipped town.

     All the acrobats are flying,
     And no safety nets required.
There's a drugbust at the circus,
     Everybody's high and wired.

The carnival is silent,
They closed it down today.
The story hit the tabloid,
All the greasepaint washed away.

The master ring's been stripped down,
For everything it's worth.
So sad to see them shaking down,
The greatest show on earth.

     All the acrobats are flying,
     And no safety nets required.
There's a drugbust at the circus,
     Everybody's high and wired.

Greyhound
Lyrics: Brenda MacDonald, James Burrell & Beverly Ross
Music: James Burrell & Ken Cree

On the greyhound,
On my way home,
I met this weirdo,
I swear it's on my forehead.
I start this convo,
With this weirdo,
I get the strangest feeling,
That he's from my town.

I met this ranger,
He's a major,
Entertainment,
A source of affection.
He had these war wounds,
And he showed me,
Everything right from his head,
Down to his nose.

And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus,
     (It's a big, grey bus)
And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus to go,
     I'll be traveling first class,
     On a greyhound bus... Stop!

This group of ladies,
Right beside me,
Want to know,
If I really dyed my eyebrows.
They seem content,
Just to sit there,
With no room,
For my feet, on the transit.

Oh in the distance,
It seems so far,
Oh why Oh why,
Did I smash the car!
It's not so bad,
I should be glad,
To have actually,
Made it this far.

And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus,
     (It's a big, grey bus)
And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus to go,
     I'll be traveling first class,
     On a greyhound bus... Go!

All these people,
They are so strange,
But I like it!
Hey Sister Theresa,
What's in the jar?
And there's that son 'o bitch,
Who smashed my car.

I was told,
Above all,
Not to talk to strangers,
Especially on the bus.
But all these people,
Are such a peel,
Is this actually,
Where my character builds?

And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus,
     (It's a big, grey bus)
And I'll be travelling on a greyhound bus to go,
     I'll be traveling first class,
     On a greyhound bus... Stop!

On Your Doorstep
Lyrics & Music: Ken Cree

Just like a carnival, the sun will rise.
And you will look out your window, with waking eyes.
And with the light of the morning, a new day comes.
A day that's filled with the promise, of dreams for you and everyone...

So I will wish tonight, your dreams come true,
     Right there on your doorstep.
And in the morning light, your dreams will wait for you,
     Right there on your doorstep.

Cause in the light of day, the world is fine.
To spend your time in the sunlight, and take things in, to no design.
Because the real truth in life, is simplicity, simplicity.
To dream as each dream arises, the rest is done, as you will see.

So I will wish tonight, your dreams come true,
     Right there on your doorstep.
And in the morning light, your dreams will wait for you,
     Right there on your doorstep.

So when your heart feels joy,
Don't stop to ask a reason.
'Cause in my heart I know,
In truth there is no reason.
     There is a harmony,
     And harmony will stay,
     Right there on your doorstep,
Where you stand to greet the day...

So with the rising stars, the will set, the sun will set.
And you will smile in the twilight, and say goodnight with no reqrets.
And in the darkness you'll dream of, a new day still, a new day still.
A day that's filled with the promise, tomorrow comes and always will.

So I will wish tonight, your dreams come true,
     Right there on your doorstep.
And in the morning light, your dreams will wait for you,
     Right there on your doorstep.
